Hi,
I am traveling to the USA soon and was wanting to go to the ellen show I know I have to request tickets but I was going to put a relative as the contact for them to call if I get tickets? Do you know if they send out the tickets how long is it before you attend the actual show. As I will be meeting up with the relative before to get the tickets but if it only two weeks before I might miss picking them up. Any information or advice on ordering tickets and getting them would be appreciated from anyone that has done it. Thanks |

Hi. There are no tickets. The show will contact you asking how many people are in your party (there can be up to four.) Then they will send you a confirmation letter. Bring this letter with you when you arrive for your taping. They will then give you a laminated number which is only the order they will seat people in the audience.
Here is the link to Ellen`s ticket page: http://ellen.warnerbros.com/tickets/ The first time I went we found out three weeks before our taping then the second time it was two months. Good luck ![]()

The writer seems stuck in the mindset of 'everything was better in the past'. Totally disagree with him about the audience bit at the beginning; they're genuinely excited to see her. And when Ellen is serious she is hardly a school marm; it's good that the show has developed into more than only being funny. At least he does says he likes Ellen. All talk shows are accused of a tired format, but it takes a lot of work to put out a show every day. Everything is subjective; there are several elements of the show I don't like, but there obviously more that I do enjoy.

It is not right to compare TEDS with the seriousness of Tom Snyder, Dick Cavett. And then this person dares to compare Ellen to Lenny Bruce?????? Lenny was a foul mouthed drug addict who tried to be funny. It wasn't funny to me. Lenny Bruce was pathetic. Arkansas? Really?

There of course aren't actual applause signs at her show.
![]() There isn't a show with a live audience on that doesn't have some sort of prompting/coaching of the audience. Dick Cavett worked in a very different era. They have attempted to cut back on the audience dance at the beginning so they could use the time for other things. They got a massive amount of E-mails from people complaining and wanting it back. |

I don't know if this is old news but
I read on twitter that during the Olympics they showed Ellen's funny Olympic commercial about why her show isn't on in the next two weeks, where she says something like she wishes athletes all the best because if they don't win the gold, they can't come on her show Also, Ellen apparently has another commercial with Steve Harvey, because in September his show will be on the same channel, only earlier in the day, so they shared a commercial. I couldn't find it an anywhere on the Internet, if someone has the link, pls post it. thanks |
