found in starmagazine online.
ELLEN BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS Russell Crowe's boxing film, Cinderella Man, struck an emotional chord with soft-hearted Ellen DeGeneres, 47. A spy in the audience at a recent screening tells Star People, "It got to the part in the film where Russell Crowe's character gives his daughter his last piece of baloney and suddenly all this uncontrollable sobbing started behind me." The spy ignored it at first, but then noticed that the "the sniffling and spluttering" just went on and on. "I turned around and there was Ellen blubbering on about how unfair it all was, how life was so difficult. She was absolutely distraught!" Fortunately for Ellen — who still had a tear in her eye at the end — her girlfriend, Portia de Rossi, 32, was on hand to comfort her and lead her out protectively while the credits rolled. — MAXINE PAGE |
