A Message from Ellen (February 18 - February 22 / 2008) | What was life like before music was invented? Dull I imagine. I bet the Grammy Awards were really boring. Thank goodness music did get finally get invented because now the Grammy's are better than ever! I'd like to thank the Grammy people for letting me do my show there. It's one of my favorite shows of the year. I'm really happy about where music is going these days. Taylor Swift is going to be a giant star. James Blunt is always charming. I can't believe he auctioned off his sister on eBay. Weren't Daughtry great sports for performing their song with those instruments I gave them? I think my favorite part of the show was having Chester Pitts and Ephraim Salaam on the red carpet.
My Big In Japan Show was a lot of fun too. I love all their goofy inventions. I wonder if the Japanese Ellen has ever done a "Big In America" show? It was great meeting Sir Richard Branson. What a great guy for giving away all those plane tickets. I can't wait till he invites me into space on his spaceship. I love Steve Spangler! Even if he is trying to blow me up. He makes science so fun, it almost makes you forget that it's science. I hope you had a happy Valentine's day. I think Stryker really had Larry King confused when we did the Valentine's Game.

A Message from Ellen (February 11 - February 15 / 2008) | We've had another exciting week of "Whutt The February!" Monday, I had a blast with Jack Hanna. I kind of get the idea that he doesn't really have his animals completely under control. Those hawks were amazing. We're lucky no one in the audience was attacked. We all had fun on Super Fat Tuesday. Congratulations to Tricia Farve for winning a GMC Acadia. I'm glad that for Mardi Gras, we could remind everybody that the people in New Orleans are still overcoming Hurricane Katrina, and they still need our help.
Thank you Stryker for going down there to give us an update. And thanks to my friend, Former President George Bush, for your surprise message. I'm still going to do everything in my power to keep on helping my hometown While I'm thanking everybody, I thank you for all your contributions to Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation. If you haven't contributed yet, I'd like to thank you in advance. Be sure to click on to Team Ellen. One hundred thousand thanks to S.C. Johnson and Glad for their $1000,000 donations. And a super big thank you to health and beauty expert Kym Douglas for putting up with my high jinks. Hey Paris, I love the shoes and wear my new hair everywhere! And how about David Tyree and his underdog New York Giants beating the undefeated Patriots? I hope he liked the underwear and Velcro helmet I gave him.

A Message from Ellen (February 04 - February 08 / 2008) | Last week will go down in history as the week I discovered the Hawaii chair. ...Unless it goes down in history as the week I discovered the Tiddy Bear. ...Or the week we started playing the marshmallow game. Whatever it ends up being, I'm sure that people will remember for years and years, that this was the week that we had you saying, "Whutt The February?" By the way, I hope you're reading this while sitting in your Hawaii chair. Now you can read and work your abs at the same time! If you're reading this while driving, I hope you're wearing your Tiddy Bear.
If you're not going to drive safely, at least you can drive comfortably. Don't get me wrong, driving safely is important so if you are reading this while driving ...be sure to lock your doors. If you're reading this at home, lock your doors too. You don't want to end up like Brittney Strong. Wasn't that an incredible story? That's why I always keep my Hawaii chair collection in a special locked room. ...along with my Guitar Hero guitars. Did you see 11-year-old Kevin Shen's incredible performance? He practically melted the guitar. DeAnna Pappas just about melted when I broke the news that she was going to be the next Bachelorette

A Message from Ellen (January 28 - February 01 / 2008) | My 50th birthday celebration was as fantastic as it could be, but it's probably a good thing that you only turn 50 once. I don't know how many more surprises I could take. Remind me to clean up the empty cake plates from under the couch cushions. I've still got Silly String in my hair and there's confetti in my cereal. What a party it was last week. The Jonas Brothers were great, and I really love Kellie Pickler. It's interesting that she's doing way better than a lot of the singers who won on "American Idol." It was a privilege to have Dr. Wayne Dyer on my show. His wisdom, insight and message of positivity is a gift to all of us. The best part of last week were the surprises. Like the call I got from Justin Timberlake, Stryker's present of Dramarama or Heart's surprise performance. One of the funniest moments was when Ryan Seacrest gave me his grandmother's bingo game. I guess he'd never seen a bingo blotter before.

A Message from Ellen (January 21 - 25 / 2008) | I want to start a movement. I can't remember if I've ever started a movement before. If I have, I hope it's still moving. This new movement is a good one though. I want to get everybody to play more games! Playing games sharpens the mind and our reflexes. If we played more games the world would be a better place. Think of all the conflict that could be worked out if we were all playing Pictionary instead of fighting. In school, we had recess every day. It was great to get out for a little while to run around and play. People at work should have recess. From now on, every day at 3 O'clock, everybody should go out into the parking lot to play kick ball. Set your watches!
This week of games was a blast! We really lucked out with some fantastic Contestants, and it's always great when my guests help out. I was really glad to finally meet Marilu Henner. The games were fun and the competition was close all week. Congratulations to Lindsey Norman for winning the $10,000 cruise. This was also an exceptional week for music. I loved The Plain White T's and it was great meeting Joshua Radin and Taylor Swift. They all have such talent, I really get the feeling that they are going to be big, big stars for a long time to come. Just like my super pre-birthday surprise guest, Jill Scott. This is really shaping up to be a fantastic fiftieth.
