Reuters.com reports: "DeGeneres, who joined "American Idol" in January 2010, will announce on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday that she is starting a record label -- eleveneleven -- and signing up 12-year-old YouTube sensation Greyson Chance as her first artist.
Chance, from Edmond, Oklahoma, was spotted by DeGeneres after posting a video of himself playing the piano and singing Lady Gaga's hit song "Paparazzi" at a sixth grade music festival on the web.
He was invited to appear on the DeGeneres' show on May 13 2010, sparking huge interest in his video which has now been viewed over 20 million times.
Chance has also posted two original compositions on YouTube -- "Stars" and "Broken Hearts."
"Greyson ... inspired me to start a record label called eleveneleven. He is my first artist and we are making a record together," DeGeneres said in a statement released on Tuesday (25. May 2010).
DeGeneres said she will continue to use her show as a platform to find new artists, whom she will sign to eleveneleven. The record label is being set up in collaboration with Telepictures Productions.
Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager, and Troy Carter, Lady Gaga's manager, have signed on to co-manage Chance."

Today he’ll look back on the last season with Ellen, and she’ll find out what’s next for him! Then, so many people are excited about JACK JOHNSON’s new album -- which reached #1 on iTunes -- and it’s not being released until June! He’s here for the first time to sing his hit song, “You and Your Heart.” Also, a few months ago, Ellen and Portia found out about an amazing organization called The Gentle Barn, which rescues farm animals from terrible situations and brings them back to health, while also providing a great learning experience for at-risk kids. Portia recently visited them and brought along some cameras, and today she’ll share the incredible experience with you.

Ellen sent cameras to his home in Oklahoma so we could all get to know him a little better. She’ll show it to you when he’s here today. Then, Ellen always feels the love when COLIN FARRELL drops by! He’s got a love story made for a movie... literally. While filming his new movie, “Ondine,” the sparks flew with his on-screen girlfriend -- and now the two have been together for two years! Plus, Diddy recently discovered the very talented JANELLE MONÁE and helped her become one of the most talked-about new artists. She’ll also get to hear about his newest movie; “The Killers” with Katherine Heigl. Then, country singer CHELY WRIGHT recently broke ground when she became the first country artist to publicly announce that she’s gay. She’s stopping by to tell Ellen how the journey is going. And not long ago, DJ Tony took a few days off to play a part in “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and today he’s got a sneak peek. Also, one of Ellen’s favorite shows, “So You Think You Can Dance,” is bringing back their all-time top dancers this season, but not before they dance with Ellen!

And of course, they’ll both get a chance to give one more performance! Then, if you’ve been in the audience, you’ve met Ellen’s warm-up guy, TOM RILES. He always keeps the energy going, which is hard with a newborn baby at home! When his daughter was born, she had a health scare and had to be rushed into surgery. Summer is almost here! Today Ellen gives you a sneak preview of all the exciting summer movies -- with some of her favorite guests! In addition to being the only one who has ever scared Ellen, no one can make her laugh like Steve, and she never knows what to expect from him! Steve is both a huge television star AND movie star, and now he has a new movie out this summer, “Despicable Me.” Then, another one of the most anticipated summer films is the next chapter in the Twilight series, “Eclipse,” and NIKKI REED is starring in it. The lucky actress gets to act with gorgeous guys Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz, and she’ll tell Ellen all about it! Ellen also has a huge surprise for one lucky audience member -- tickets to the “Eclipse” premiere! And, it’s hard to think of two bigger legends in music than JAMES TAYLOR and CAROLE KING, and it doesn’t get better than the two of them together! Also, PAM ANDERSON & DAMIAN WHITEWOOD made it quite far on “Dancing with the Stars,” but not quite far enough! One of them will win a brand new GMC Terrain, and someone at home will win one too! The competition is fierce here, but it’s just as intense on “American Idol”! This week, another contestant was eliminated, and they’re here to tell Ellen what it’s like to make it all the way to the Final Four -- and will give a performance you won’t forget! Then, TERI HATCHER has been married four times, been in a car accident, had her house burned down, and even shot a neighbor… all on “Desperate Housewives,” that is! It’s not ending there; they’ve been renewed for two more seasons and she’s here to tell Ellen about the exciting season finale. In real life, Teri is lots of fun. Ellen has even played matchmaker for her, but Teri didn’t take her suggestion! Maybe she’ll listen to Ellen’s great suggestions today! Also, Ellen has been getting tweets from the popular band PARAMORE. They wanted to perform on the show -- and Ellen didn’t hesitate to say yes!
