No Kids for Ellen & Portia | okmagazine.com reports: While most of Hollywood seems to be racing towards having babies and adopting children and denying pregnancy rumors, Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi haven't caught the baby bug, and might never.
"No, I don't think we're going to have kids," Ellen tells AOL's Inside/TV when asked if they were going to be moms. " We have animals, and we love them. They don't talk back, and they don't explore their vocal chords out in public."
In addition, the newlyweds do have children in their life already, as Ellen explains they're brand new aunts.
"Portia's brother and his wife just had a baby girl who's a month old now, and it's fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it's something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it's just a huge responsibility, and I don't know that that's something we want to take on. We're very happily married without children."

Portia #1 for 2009 hot 100 | The 2009 AfterEllen.com Hot 100

 |
What do you get for the woman who has everything? How about the crowning achievement of being No. 1 on the AfterEllen.com Hot 100 list? Admittedly, things have already been going well for the Australian-born out actress, what with getting married to Ellen DeGeneres, starring in a new series (Better Off Ted) and signing on for the long-awaited Arrested Development movie. And its been a pleasure for all of her long-term queer fans to watch her embrace her status as a high-profile out performer.
While her gay marriage PSA on Jimmy Kimmell Live! was funny, her charming debut appearance on her wife's wildly popular talk show perhaps did more for gay visibility and gay rights than anything overtly "political" might have accomplished. Watching the obviously devoted DeGeneres playfully interview her wife, and even win a round of The Newlywed Game with her against a heterosexual couple, spoke quiet volumes about love, commitment, and true equality. Talent, smarts, looks and being out is clearly a winning combination.

A Message from Ellen (11 May - 15 May 2009) | I'm just now recovering from our big Mother's Day Show. The audience was filled with first-time pregnant moms. I was so excited to give away all kinds of great gifts, my water broke! It was a great way to end a jam-packed week. Both SIMON COWELL and RYAN SEACREST were here. I'm gonna find one of them a date - or maybe I'll just find one girl and they can share.
Also, the sexiest man alive came by -- no, Richard Simmons was here for Mardi Gras. HUGH JACKMAN was here! If my body looked like his, I'd never wear clothes… on second thought, if my body looked like his, that'd be really weird.
Plus, the two stars from this weekend's biggest movie, "STAR TREK," were here. CHRIS PINE and ZACHARY QUINTO. I think Darth Vader turns out to be their father.
And, hold on to your light saber, next week is gonna be huge. KELLY CLARKSON will be here! Plus, LADY GAGA and PINK!! And, we're kicking off our DRIVE ME CRAZY GAME WEEK. Someone's gonna win a CAR! Not to mention a whole bunch of other great prizes. You can win too - go to our website to find out how!
Which reminds me, I've got to go… Portia and I are playing blindfolded musical chairs and I took off my blindfold -- she's still wandering around on the lawn...
See ya, Ellen

A Message from Ellen (04 May - 08 May 2009) | Well, it’s official… you can’t drink a thousand shots of tequila! I wanted to do something special for my 1,000th show, but I lost track somewhere between six and eight shots. Instead, I marked the momentous occasion with a huge 1,000th show celebration!
I thank you all a thousand times for watching over the past six years. And I’ve been thanking some of you individually with our $1,000 A DAY IN MAY giveaways.
They say, “It’s better to give than to receive,” but they also say, “The proof is in the pudding”… and I’ve never found anything in my pudding. But I can tell you I’ve been having a lot of fun with my Big Stimulus Package!
Oh, and did I mention that Oprah popped in? Well, she did. I’m gonna be on the cover of the December issue of “O” magazine. Anyway, it’s no big deal. A lot of people have been on the cover with Oprah. Oh, wait a minute -- only the First Lady of the United States! Let’s all raise our shot glasses to the December ‘09 issue of “O” magazine -- the greatest-selling issue of all time!!
You’re not gonna want to miss next week’s shows; my friends SIMON COWELL and RYAN SEACREST are gonna be here! They do a little show called, “American Idol,” maybe you’ve heard of it. And HUGH JACKMAN is bringing over his impossibly toned body. Also, I’ll be giving away more money all week long!
And don’t stop there -- this week’s Mother’s Day show is gonna be the mother of all Mother’s Day shows! The audience will be filled with first-time pregnant moms. I better start boiling water.
See ya, Ellen
